Psychiatrist Dr. David Gersten created the Connex word association game in order to help people better evaluate and gain understanding of their lives. I was asked to adapt it to the online world. The analog version consists of hexagonal cards in a box set. The player then draws cards and arranges them as a connected spread on a swathe of velvet. An interpretation manual helps the player to better understand the card meanings.

I designed the user interface in close consultation with the developer and Dr. Gersten. Connex Online offers an intuitive user experience that still pays homage to the original analog version.
